Michael (Mikhail) Gokhner
Mikhail Gokhner is a renowned restaurateur and developer, and the owner of several popular establishments. He founded Moscow’s first steakhouse, El Gaucho, which opened 25 years ago and has since become one of the city's oldest and most highly respected meat restaurants. Its success was recognised by Forbes magazine, which included El Gaucho in its top 10 most successful restaurants.

Furthermore, Mikhail is the founder of the Bocconcino chain of Italian restaurants, which comprises seven venues in Russia, alongside highly successful ventures in the upmarket London neighbourhoods of Mayfair and Soho. In 2024, he continued his expansion in London, opening Osteria by Bocconcino in Covent Garden.
His other successful projects include the restaurants Na Melnitse, Shtolnya, Ginger, Villa, and Michael's, each of which has contributed to Moscow’s unique gastronomic landscape. His Bocconcino restaurant chain has become legendary, earning widespread acclaim for the quality and originality of its cuisine. In addition to successfully managing El Gaucho and Bocconcino, Mikhail has also launched a seafood restaurant, Lucky Fish, adding further variety to his culinary portfolio.

In 2023, his London restaurants achieved remarkable success, being awarded the prestigious "Best Luxury Restaurant" accolade at the British Restaurant Awards, confirming his ability to meet the very highest gastronomic standards.

Continuing to develop his portfolio, Mikhail opened the Basque meat restaurant OMA in Moscow in 2026, which immediately proved to be highly successful and popular.
